Today we pulled the weeds and mowed the lawn. Just getting it ready for Saturday.
What’s on Saturday? It’s Jacob’s 8th Birthday Party, and we’re slipping and sliding.

Loot Bags

I’m in charge off the loot bags for Jacob’s Birthday party. I want to something original, nothing off the shelf.
I’ve gotten a few ideas off Google. But here’s what I came up with.
I went to Dollarama. They have these red and white popcorn buckets. Those will be the loot bags. The contents will contain a package of microwavable popcorn and some other goodies, according to the child’s gender and age. Do up some labels in Photoshop – Voila!!
Pretty original I think?

If you know me, you’ll know what a big Michael Jackson fan I am. At my wedding their was lots of evidence of this. I never got a chance to comment on his death, and I won’t. All I want to say is – I still can’t believe he’s dead and every time I hear one of his songs, I feel sad. I do believe you’re in a better place, and now, you can finally rest. Thanks Michael for all the amazing music you provided us. Here’s a few pictures I put together with, probably my favourite Michael Jackson song.
What A Way To Spend My Vacation

Tuesday I woke up feeling fine, then around lunch, my back started to hurt. WTF!!
It got progressively worse as the day went on. I woke up Wednesday, and I couldn’t move. I called my chiropractor, and got an appointment at 2pm.
He made me do some stretches and some resistance holds to try and find exactly where the pain was. He ended up giving me a massage similar to the Dr. Ho system and some Therapeutic Ultrasound.
The result was my muscles felt really tight. I spent about a 1/2 hour there. He told me to come back on Thursday, if there is no improvement. I think he would of done Acupuncture.?
Thursday I woke up about the same, but not worse. I ended up going to Shoppers and getting Robaxacet. They seemed to help a bit.
Friday still about the same, but popping Robaxacet every 4 hours. So I took the kids to Wonderland – Big Mistake.
Saturday I woke up, couldn’t move, ended up at Emergency at 8am.
Result, spasms on the lower right side of my back. Got a cortisone shot and some heavy duty drugs.
Saturday night, I feel much better, and it’s back to work tomorrow.
Never made it to Wasaga Beach. There’s still a month before school starts, we’ll make it down before the summer ends.
