March Was A Horrible Month

3 weeks ago I leave work, walk to my car I see this!

Tuesday we had a snow storm. I’m on my way home from work, a huge piece of ice comes flying out of no where and hits my front bumper, no way to avoid.

I guess this would be a good opportunity to add a kit to my car. I find one not to crazy expensive, I order it. I’m on the phone back and forth with the company, they’re out of California. They’re having trouble shipping to Canada. It’s going to cost way to much.

How to Clean AEM Intake

An AEM cold air intake replaces a car’s factory air box to improve airflow to the engine. As with all intake systems, the intake’s filter will get dirty from normal driving and must either be replaced or, in the case of AEM, cleaned. AEM has designed their intake system to be reusable which, in theory, should cut down on replacement costs.

1. Loosen and remove the screws holding the filter to the intake pipe. The screws are actually part of a hose clamp that you will have to slide off the neck of the intake filter.
2. Remove the air filter from the intake pipe.
3. Gently clean the entrance of the intake pipe with a clean, lint-free rag. Do not allow any debris to enter the intake pipe.
4. Tap all the loose dirt off the air filter.
5. Fill a bucket with enough water to cover the filter up to the filter neck, but not above it.
6. Add 12 ounces of the AEM filter cleaning solution to the water.
7. Submerge the filter in the water with the cleaning solution up to the filter neck. Don’t let water flow through the filter neck.
8. Let the filter soak for 10 minutes.
9. Rotate the filter in the water by rotating it back and forth to remove any remaining dirt and debris.
10. Remove the filter from the water and dump out the dirty water.
11. Repeat steps 5 through 10
12. Take the filter out of the water, allow it to air dry and reinstall the filter. Installation is the reverse of removal.

New Pair of Skates

I finally broke down and decided to get a new pair of skates . No I’m not cheap. I just hate that break in period. I have a few days before my game on Friday, I’ll try to get a few skates in before then. This is the first time that I got skates other than Bauer, but they’re just so pretty.

What A Weekend

I actually had a great weekend. It didn’t start that way. Got some news on Friday that made me a bit sad, but I pulled up my socks and looked on the bright side.
- Stern resigned with Sirius for another 5 years.
- The boys won 3-1, beating the first place team, handing them their first loss of the season.
- St. Pierre kicked Koscheks ass.
- House finally sold.

What A YesterDay!

Woke up for work at 5am. Worked till 3:16pm. Had to meet a friend, we planned on going to see Inception for 6:20pm. Went back to my car. Couldn’t find my keys. Forgot to charge my phone and it was almost dead. Called the division, both end terminals, and Coxwell – nothing. Couldn’t find anyone, they’re all at the funeral. Got hold of Chris, he said he would drive to Whitby to get my extra keys, problem no one home. Was BBMing my friend trying to explain what happened. Talking to Transit Control trying to find the trains I was on today. Phone dies mid-conversation. 15 minute walk to Shoppers to buy $50 charger. (I’m bringing it back) Walk back to division, charge phone, call back Chris, he’s able to get my extra Key. Meet him at 6:10pm at McCowan SRT Station. Friend also meets me at station. Drive back to Greenwood, get my car. Was hoping I locked them inside – nope. Drive to Coxwell, take a shower. Missed the movie. Went to Kelsey’s. Made the 9:30 showing. Home at 12:45. What a day!!
